A family stands in a frame made of old tire rubber.

Another piece by Chakaia Booker, one of a series on view into November. The tourist joy is, uh, palpable (a too-trendy word I try to avoid). (I remember that before I took this shot I was trying to do something interesting with the piece, and the woman with the camera asked me "Does it work?" And I'm thinking, yeah, it'll take you back to any time you want and you can make bajillions by shorting everything in sight. Of course it works.) Garment District, Manhattan.
