A pillar over a grave is inscribed with a historical summary of George Read.

George Read was one of the signers of the U.S. Declaration of Independence (Happy Fourth, all). There are a couple dozen streets in Brooklyn named after signers, but none named after him. New Castle, Delaware. Filed in Cemeteries.
