Boarded-up doors below brick arches have been covered with graffiti.

According to Adrienne Onofri ("Walking Brooklyn") this is a former precinct house, built in 1892, and on the National Registry of Historic Places. But it's abandoned now, and recent plans to rejuvenate the building have been like good seed on barren ground. Wait, that's not right: it could be bad seed on fertile ground. Whatever, no sprouts. Fourth Avenue and 42nd Street, Sunset Park, Brooklyn.
