A guide gestures while talking in front of a mural.

This weekend is "Open House New York" in New York City, when a couple hundred or so institutions open their doors or give special tours. Many of the facilities are open year round, but some aren't, and often you get to see "behind the scenes" rooms. This shot was taken in the lobby of the Arsenal, in Central Park. The mural was a WPA project. (For more of my Open House New York shots from this year and last, click here.) New York, New York. | Filed in Manhattan.
