A building's old painted letters announce its long-lost
tenant.

I'm having trouble chasing down sufficient details on the Rockwood Chocolate Factory, but one Web page suggests the company dates from 1875, and the buildings in Wallabout date from the 1920's. Since it has to do with chocolate, it's probably worth a deeper pursuit. The current inhabitant is a Talmud distributor or publisher, not sure. Washington Avenue (Wallabout).
