Officers' Row, Brooklyn Navy Yards. Much of the Brooklyn Navy Yards is still active, some parts for shipping. Others have been turned into completely different industries — there are movie studios, for instance. But along Flushing Avenue, west of, say Carlton Avenue, you'll see perhaps four or five buildings that the officers used to live in. They're completely overgrown with vines and weeds, and crumbling, and dilapidated. But they thrive as a perpetual subject for wandering photogs. | Filed in Brooklyn.
