I doubt this would have happened in a McCain Administration (Continued).

Today the DOJ's mortgage task force filed charges against Bear Stearns (now part of JP Morgan Chase) for the way they were packaging and selling mortgage backed securities in the years leading up to the meltdown.

What was Senator Gregg's (R, NH) concern? That Wall Street could continue to be "innovative." Oh yeah, Republicans would have been so in favor of Wall Street scrutiny.

If this restores faith in capitalism, the honest fat cats will prosper, and have no reason to complain about Obama. But if they've been misbehaving, they can't blame it on the administration.
