What can an unreformed birther tell us about the campaign of Mitt Romney?
You just ponder that one, and see if there's anything subtle about Romney's pride that Donald Trump is endorsing him. Yes, Trump still thinks Obama wasn't born in the US. And Trump is still nothing more than a wealthy TV celebrity.
I'm not sure there's anything subtle to be found here. Trump is a joke, and Romney doesn't have the compass to just say "thank you for your support" and move on. To stuff like green jobs, where you can tell Coloradans you "don't see any," in spite of the state having over 70,000 of them.
There's going to be a point where I'm going to expect Romney to dig out Ed Norton's "Captain Video" helmet and get lost in a fantasy world for good.
